Dear Visitor,

Welcome to our web site!  We hope you’re enjoying the long summer evenings in your yard, playing a round on your new shuffle board court, relaxing by the pool, or maybe harvesting from your vegetable garden.  We always love to hear about how our customers are enjoying their landscaping.  Read on to find out about our FEATURE LANDSCAPE, SEASONAL SERVICES, and TIP OF THE MONTH.  And if you’re feeling inspired to have some work done at your home, please consider allowing us to help you out.

FEATURE LANDSCAPE –“California Country Club”

California Country Club

Our Feature Landscape this month is all about color.  The residence sits on the edges of a local golf course.  Tall pines, shade trees, and expansive lawn areas define the view from the back of the house.  While the existing yard was not lacking in green plant material, there was no accent, no pizzazz.  So the decision was to design what could only be described as ‘perennial bouquets of color’.  While keeping the visual connection with the golf course by continuing turf through the backyard, well defined perennial planting beds were placed at strategic positions for viewing from inside the house and from their new patio area.  Now they have color and lots of it!  Designing perennial beds is a lot like arranging flower bouquets, but you can’t always see the flowers when the plants go in.  In order to get it right we turned to our in house planting design expert who worked with the customer to get just the right balance of color and sizes they would like.  When spring came around the owner was quite pleased!

SEASONAL ITEMS

SUMMER IS HERE!  But it’s not too late to tidy up that yard for those summer parties.  Our service department provides flower planting, detailing, pruning, mulching, irrigation and lighting checks, drain service and cleaning, and more.  Call us for further details.

SANTA CLAUS IS CHECKING HIS LIST!  It may be over 100 degrees here, but in the north pole Christmas preparations are under way.  Consider our Outdoor Décor holiday lighting service this year, and don’t let Ole Saint Nic catch you off guard.

TIP OF THE MONTH

Vegetable Gardens can be one of the best things about summer, or they can drive you crazy!  Vegetables planted in the ground are susceptible to the chemical and structural composition of your soil.  Many times people will want the garden planted in an out-of-the-way area where trash, chemicals, burn piles or other contaminates may be present.  A great way to ensure a healthy, thriving, vegetable garden is to construct raised planter boxes out of treated wood, and fill them with rich, organic, weed-free soil.  They look great, and will give you years of good homegrown produce.  We have done this for many of our customers, and always get great reviews.

Thanks again to all of you who have helped make Plant Systems a successful, award winning company!  We look forward to hearing from you again soon!

Sincerely,

Plant Systems, Inc.
